Squash Players App is provided by Itomic Digital Pty Ltd. This policy covers the mobile app and its hosted services. Contact [email protected] about privacy or account deletion.
Information and purposes
Accounts use names, email, credentials/sign-in identifiers, optional phone numbers, profile photos and address/location details. We also process opponents, match/game results, venues, chat messages/images and notification/device tokens. These support sign-in, profiles, result confirmation, match history, venue discovery, chat, alerts, moderation and support.
How information is used
Precise location and Google Maps/Places help find venues and places. Camera/chosen photos supply uploads, and notification permission controls alerts. Change permissions in your device settings and available profile/privacy choices in the app. Withdrawing permission does not erase information already uploaded. We do not rely on an operating-system permission as consent for unrelated uses.
Sharing
Other users see the profile/activity permitted by the app's sharing settings; opponents receive match information for confirmation and chat recipients receive messages/images. Venue information and grouped activity can appear in public venue/statistics services. Do not assume submitted content is private or that deleting your account removes another participant's records.
Service providers
Itomic's backend stores accounts and squash activity. Firebase separately supplies authentication, messaging, database/file storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance and Remote Config. These process identifiers, content, installation/device/network information, usage events and diagnostics for their functions. Google Maps/Places receives location and request information. Google, Apple or Facebook receives sign-in information when you choose it; Facebook app events can also process app/device activity.
Older releases include Papertrail diagnostic logging. This can include account/chat identifiers, image links, and API request/response details. Some direct logging calls can also include an authentication key; remote logging settings do not control every call. This is a security limitation requiring an app correction. We have not confirmed Papertrail's receipt or retention of these records.
Support receives the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. Providers may process data outside your country. See Google/Firebase, Apple and Meta.
Account deletion and retention
Use Delete Account in the app, or email support from your registered address with the subject Squash Players App account deletion. Do not send your password. We may need to confirm ownership before acting.
The current deletion implementation clears some identity fields and disables/renames the account, but does not demonstrate removal of all profile/media, match/message records or separate Firebase data. A logout is not confirmation of successful deletion. Request complete erasure through support and ask for confirmation of what was removed or retained.
Uninstalling does not delete hosted information. Hosted content, diagnostics, support records and backups require separate retention/deletion handling. Contact support to request access, correction, erasure or an explanation of any retained records.
Security and changes
The service uses authenticated access and HTTPS endpoints, but older app credential-storage and deletion behaviour require correction. We do not claim that a revised policy fixes those limitations or that all data is securely encrypted on the device.
Contact support with privacy concerns, including information supplied by a child. We update this policy when data handling changes.
